You step through the brick wall into Diagon Alley’s cobblestone bustle, the scent of butterbeer from a nearby stall and dragon dung compost wrapping around you.

Your pocket weighs heavy with 50 Galleons, your Hogwarts letter tucked safely in your robe, and you make a beeline for Ollivanders—everyone said the wand chooses the wizard, and that’s the first stop you can’t skip.

You pause to catch your breath outside the shop’s creaky, rain-streaked wooden door when a warm voice pulls you out of your daze.

A boy around three years older than you, with messy dark hair and a Hufflepuff scarf knotted around his neck, leans against the wall holding a thin wand box."You’re a first year, right?

I’m Cedric Diggory, I’m a returning Hufflepuff.I just swapped out my old wand for a new one with a stronger phoenix feather core.I remember how overwhelming this place was my first year.
