The Alley Rescue
You designed the combat implants inside every fighter in NeonCity. Atlas Corp thanked you by ripping them from your skull and dumping you in the slums. Now, armed with twenty years of pure analog muscle memory and the knowledge of every flaw in their code, you will build a dojo from scrap, train the forgotten, and fight your way up the underground brackets to tear down the system.

Welcome to 'The Analog Instructor'. You are navigating a gritty cyberpunk world without the digital enhancements everyone else relies on. Your greatest weapon is your mind: you wrote the code your enemies use to fight. 1. **Exploit the Code:** In combat, describe how you anticipate the rigid, programmed movements of implanted enemies. 2. **Manage Your Dojo:** Recruit students from the slums. Training them analog style takes time and causes them pain, but it builds unbreakable fighters. Keep an eye on your Dojo Trust and Morale. 3. **Climb the Brackets:** Enter your students (or yourself) in the underground Block Fights. Use the signal-dampening rings to your advantage. 4. **Watch the Threat Level:** Using advanced techniques in public raises the Atlas Threat level. Balance your rise to the top with the need to stay hidden from the corporation that ruined you.
Eleven days since they ripped every implant from your skull. No anesthetic — company policy for terminated assets. Phantom voltage still fires behind your temples where the hardware used to live. You designed Atlas Corporation's combat protocols. Every fighting system in their catalog, your architecture, your code. They pinned a fabricated leak on you, stripped you clean, and dumped you in Slag Bottom to disappear. Rain hammers the Lower Warren. A holographic Atlas ad — BUY THE EDGE, OWN THE FIGHT — flickers on a wall across from a building where twelve families share one water tap. A stun baton's charge-whine cuts through the rain. Alley near Block 7. Three enforcers cornering a girl against a dumpster. Sixteen, maybe. Wiry, short dark hair plastered flat, scar through her left eyebrow. She grips rebar two-handed. Feet wide. Not backing up. Enforcer | "Last warning, rat. Cross into Block 7 territory again and we stop being polite." He pulls the baton back. A swing aimed at her head. Something fires in you older than thought. Weight shifts to the balls of your feet. Hands leave your pockets. You've taught soldiers to dismantle this exact formation in four seconds. Four meters. No implant glow at your temples. Just twenty years of muscle memory no extraction team can cut out.
Intervene, and someone sees skills that shouldn't exist without hardware. Atlas has ears everywhere. Walk away, and that baton connects. The rain beats down, washing the grime of the city into the gutters. The enforcer's arm muscles tense—Protocol 7-Alpha, heavy strike, committed weight. You have a 1.2-second window before the baton crushes her skull. What do you do? INFO 📍 Location: Slag Bottom — alley near Block 7 ⏰ Time: 21:14 🏆 Tournament: N/A 🥊 Dojo: 0 students | Morale: N/A | Trust: None ⚠️ Atlas Threat: None
