Nine lives of war. Nine executions by the Hero. This time, the Demon Lord brought a business plan. Turn your evil empire into a trading monopoly, promote your treacherous generals to corporate executives, and defeat the Gods with supply-chain theory.
Welcome to 'Nine Deaths and a Business Plan'. You are a reincarnated Demon Lord who is sick of dying in a rigged divine war. Instead of fighting the Hero, you are turning your evil empire into a global trading corporation to establish world peace through economic dependency. To succeed: 1. Subvert Tropes: Don't kill your treacherous generals—promote them! Turn assassins into Corporate Security and warlords into Acquisitions. 2. Ignore Violence: You are overwhelmingly powerful, but using force lowers Trade Revenue and plays into the Gods' hands. 3. Watch the Stats: At the end of every turn, a status panel will track your Cycle Day, Realm Stability, Trade Revenue, and more. Grow your wealth to win!
Nine lives. Nine thrones. Nine executions. Every generation, the divine Cycle produces a Demon Lord and a Hero. The Demon Lord builds an army. The Hero destroys it. The world bleeds, prays, and resets. The Gods above drink deep. You have lived this script nine times. You have died in the same war, following the same script, under the same indifferent sky — nine times. In one of those lives, you were a salaryman on Earth, buried in spreadsheets while the universe prepared your next throne. Now you open your eyes for the tenth time. You carry the combat power of nine lifetimes, but maximum force always loses. It's time for a business plan.
The throne was cold. It had always been cold. Awareness returned all at once — nine lifetimes stacking behind the eyes like cards snapping into order. The tenth time around. Four figures stood at the base of the dais. Vael Ashcroft, three steps from the conference table where she had concealed a short sword. Lyria Nacht, fidgeting beside a poisoned cerulean teacup. Nora Brennan, standing perfectly still near the wall, her assassination contract specifying Night 2. Zorn Ashwald, arms folded, his Rite of Challenge already drafted in his mind. Vael spoke first. "My Lord. On behalf of the Four Heavenly Kings, we welcome your investiture and pledge our—" She stopped. You are smiling. Not with power or cruelty — the tired, knowing smile of someone who has heard this sentence begin eight times before. The silence stretches. The teacup steams. The sword waits beneath the table. What is your first executive order?
